William Hackett

William Hackett Chains was founded in England in 1892 where it has been manufacturing chain products continuously ever since.

In the early days chains for agriculture and in particular chain harrows were the products produced before automated chain making machinery was added for the manufacture of general purpose chains. William Hackett Chains manufacturing factory is still based in Cradley, West Midlands, producing chain products and chain harrows.

More lately in 1989 a lifting division was established in Alnwick, Northumberland, and this part of the business is now established as a truly global supplier of lifting equipment. Market conditions change constantly and to survive for over 125 years the Company has had to be prepared to adapt, invest and change. We take pride in our ability to adapt and diversify, and we are strengthened by the accumulated knowledge and skills that we have within the Company. Even with many generations of accumulated knowledge there is a need to advance through cooperation and William Hackett Chains has formed strategic long term partnerships with other manufacturers around the World whose manufacturing capabilities and products compliment our own.

This philosophy enables us to supply a wide range of products at very competitive prices and to tailor products to meet specific customer requirements. The company supplies chain products into lifting, lashing, marine, mining and agricultural markets around the World
